Northern Grampians Shire Council is developing a long-term plan for the Stawell Entertainment Centre to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

The Centre is an important community asset, hosting a diverse range of performances, school productions, cultural activities, community events, conferences and other functions across a number of different spaces. These include the main auditorium, the stage including backstage area, supper room, foyer, and kitchen.

In the past 12 months, the centre has:
  • Hosted 369 bookings
  • Been used by 57 unique users including 44 community groups
  • Been hired by 13 paying users across 33 bookings
  • Supported 336 community events
  • Been hired for community activities including arts and crafts, cultural events, seniors programs, meetings, celebrations and workshops.
As the venue continues to age, many of its technical systems - including lighting, sound, audiovisual equipment and rigging infrastructure - require ongoing maintenance, renewal and investment.

Our community is also growing and changing, and we want to understand how well the centre is meeting local needs today and what opportunities exist for the future. Your feedback, as a community member, will help inform future planning, improvements and programming.
